You may know me as Eva Alordiah, and you may even tell your friends that I’m one of your favorite rappers (🙏🏽).

But what you may not know is I‘m totally an independent artiste. I have:

❎ no oga at the top

❎ no management

❎ no record labels

❎ no press teams

❎ no big budget

❎ no A & R 

I have none of all those fancy benefits that other signed artists receive. But I have YOU! 

You are the reason I do this now. 

When I quit the music business more than 6 years ago, I left behind a long-suffering dream to be a great artist in this life. It was the most PAINFUL decision ever. 

But I had to make a decision, and it was either to hang on to the music business or lose my life. I chose life, of course!

I walked away from fame, celebridom, opportunities, and whatever illusory promises stardom offered. 

I know many people who would do anyyyyything to have what I had— but I was willing to let it go. In the galloping chase to make my dreams come true, I had lost a big part of myself, and my Spirit was suffering. 

To be honest, in those 6 years away from the music industry, I successfully convinced myself that I was happy.

Deep down my heart was laden with the burden of unfulfilled potential.

The truth is there was not a single day that went by that I did not think about the music we share.

To make it worse, messages like these from you started pouring in:

After hundreds and hundreds of DMs, comments, messages, and even phone calls saying the same thing: “Eva, come back...”

I finally found hidden in those words, the truth I didn’t know I needed:

YOU First name, you are all that matters in this relationship between Artist and Fan. This gift of music and art that we share is a very PERSONAL, intentional, loving, and reciprocated gift.

You being here, reading this letter right now is proof of that. 

You are the most important variable in this equation First name. And you are the sole reason that I’m back making new music now.

I just want to make the music and give it to you. I have no one else and I am fully depending on your support if this is going to work.

This is NOT my music anymore. It’s yours now.

I don’t care to be recognized by industry godfathers and their yes-men.

Why is this important? 

1. When you pre-save a song on Spotify before it drops, you get to listen to it first as soon as it goes Live (ours is 8PM tomorrow WAT)

2. If you and 500 other true fans play the song as soon as it’s Live, it triggers the algorithm and tells Spotify that the song is loved by many

3. Spotify then begins to slowly push out the song to more people just like you

This is what we need. 

It’s gonna take an Army to make this work. Everyone counts.

What’s the alternative?

To pay heavily for streaming farms and people who promise artists streams..But I don’t care for all that. It is mostly fake streams.

Urggh. At this point, I’m officially tired of listening to my unreleased music by myself.

This year was wild, to be honest.

I started with the intention of releasing a lot of music for you. Instead, I just kept on going to the studio week after week, compiling the songs and letting them sit.

But as the year pulls into a close, there’s that rumbling nudge in my belly begging me to clean house and release all I have.
